Animals
(21/07/10)
Scarytree is wearing his fingers to the bone working on his first feature script entitled Animals. How, when or where this film will be made remains as much a mystery to Scarytree as the appeal of karaoke does, but nevertheless it will get made. One thing is for sure, there will be no singing in it, good or bad, and there will be no makeovers or line dancing either. There will, however, be an abundance of strange happenings and long silences intercut with screaming and dead animals. Bet you can't wait. For a look at the excellent painting by Russian artist Ilya Repin which inspired the script follow the link below.

Time Travel For F*ckwits
(20/07/10)
How time flies. Scarytree's new short Time Travel For F*ckwits (AKA Untitled Time Travel Film), starring actor/director Mahdi Fleifel has been doing very well since I last wrote. The time and mind bending film has been screened at three festivals already. First up was the Babelgum Online Film Festival, closely followed by the Landcrab Film Festival in Bournemouth where it picked up The Gareth Dyer Award for the film that most embodied the spirit of the festival. If you are wondering what that means then I can tell you it means the film that was the most bestest and brilliantest work of genius in the world, ever - I think. Anyway, that was closely followed by a showing at the huge Phoenix ComiCon Comic convention in Arizona where it no doubt blew the mind of those lucky enough to see it and will be rounded off (for now) with a fourth battle for supremacy at the Irpen Film Festival in Ukraine at the end of August. That's in the future!

New Short coming in 2010
(6/11/09)
Scarytree has been busy again and this time he's been trying to get his head around the intricacies of time travel. The result is Time Travel For F*ckwits. Starring actor/director Mahdi Fleifel, it tackles a subject close to Scarytree's heart... How to get a great script without actually doing any work. The film should be hitting some sort of screen near you in early 2010 so either wait for it or rush out to your nearest bookshop and pick up a copy of Time Travel For F*ckwits and go and see it now before it's even finished.

Scarytree is blossoming
(11/06/08)
After 6 short films and various other projects, Scarytree films is making its first foray into features. One gothic horror and one dark and surreal road movie are in the works. Fingers are a blur as they skip across the keyboard randomly hitting keys in the hope that something wonderful will pop out of a nearby printer after a few late nights.
